During the last week of September, a range of careers events took place. Students visited Fujitsu main offices to represent the school and champion the fantastic partnership which has developed between the organisation and the school. A cohort of year 11 students have also visited Bracknell and Wokingham College on Wednesday, to look at vocational provision available as part of our ongoing involvement in the ‘Learning To Work’ programme. We have also been extremely fortunate in hosting Dr. Emma Mead for the day on Friday. Dr. Mead is Neuroinflammation Team Leader at Alzheimer’s Research UK, Oxford Drug Discovery Institute. Located in Oxford University. Throughout the day, Dr. Mead met with students across years 9,10 and 11. The day focused around her career journey, as well as the opportunities available within the Scientific fields of health and medicine. Dr Mead also shared some of the work at Alzheimer’s Research UK. A great week, and there are more events which took place, such as the EPCS6 visit to the Emirates stadium which we will also share. #EPCSchool
