Dear Parents/Carers
Year 10 CrissCross21 – Tuesday 6 July and Wednesday 7 July 2021
Part of our curriculum is to normally have three CrissCross days across the academic year, in which students take part in events and sessions which are designed to broaden their knowledge, understanding and experiences outside of the normal curriculum.
Running this event has not been possible so far this year due to restrictions. Now that students no longer have to stay in a class bubble, we are able to provide a two day CrissCross experience on Tuesday 6 July and Wednesday 7 July, whilst still adhering to the current regulations. We will be adapting the normal curriculum and giving the students a range of experiences within school they may not normally have.
The activities will range across:
Revolution Hive – Aspirational team supporting student engagement and preparing for Year 11
- Career Pilot – Developing knowledge – online careers and opportunities
- ASK (Apprenticeship Skills and Knowledge) – How to apply for an apprenticeship
Students will be expected to wear their PE kit on Wednesday 7 July as they will also be taking part in the Year 10 Sports Day.
We have found that CrissCross days are a wonderful opportunity for students to engage in and excel in areas they might not otherwise have the opportunity to and the students always enjoy the experience.
Thank you very much for your support and if you have any questions please do not hesitate to contact me via email at richard.lake@epschool.org.
Yours faithfully
Mr R Lake, Assistant Headteacher, Business and Enterprise
