Select students in Year 10 and 11 have been spending their Thursday mornings getting to know their new academic mentor, a sixth former who has agreed to support them once a week in either English, Maths or Science.
All of our sixth form students are completing their mentoring as part of our EPCS6 initiative, the ‘giving back’ programme. This is an important part of life as a EP student and being a part of a community school – we support one another and help each other to become the best we can be!
A huge thank you to all of our sixth formers for their dedication to our younger students, sharing their subject expertise and in many cases, bringing in their old textbooks from their GCSE years to support. All of our mentees should be thinking about a weekly focus and bringing in the resources required for them to feel they have made progress in each session.
