Dear Parents and Carers
Issue of COVID-19 Home Self-Test Kit – Easthampstead Park Community School
I am pleased to confirm that upon completion of your child’s third in-school lateral flow test next week, which will be carried out in their PE lesson, they will be issued a pack containing three COVID-19 home self-testing kits.
Students are now quite well practiced in how to manage the tests and the packs contain simple and supportive instructions. There is a requirement for you to report all results to NHS Track and Trace and this is explained in the pack. There is a video link below to explain the testing process and the online instructions for testing are also available in different languages.

You do not need to advise me or the school directly if your child’s test is negative but for obvious reasons please do contact the school if the test were to be positive. Please do this via the email address covid19reporting@epschool.org. If your child does have a positive test result they will need to self-isolate and you will need to book a PCR test for them.
As with in-school tests, lateral flow tests need to be taken 3-5 days apart. Please be aware that the tests sent home are only for students.
Please also see the attached letter from the Headteacher, providing further test information from Bracknell Forest Council.
Yours faithfully
Ms. Claire O’Brien
Deputy Headteacher
