Covid-19 Update 19 March 2020 – school closure to most pupils
Dear Parents / Carers
Following on from my last update, I’m now writing to let you know that we have now been instructed to close the school to almost all children after this Friday until further notice.
As advised by the government, Mr Williamson said in a statement to the Commons today that the children of key workers included those whose parents are NHS workers, police officers and delivery drivers while vulnerable pupils include those who have a social worker and those with an education, health and care plan (EHCP).
We will do all we can to stay open for the children of key workers who have no other form of support. We are waiting for the government to publish more information on what this means, but it would help us in the meantime if you could let us know if you think your child may fall into one of these categories.
Please email the school office and provide your child’s name, job title and employers contact details of the key worker parent. The email address is info@epschool.org.
To help us with our planning, it would be most helpful if you could email this information to us before midday. We’ll be in touch again as soon as we are sure who this does apply to.

All other children will need to stay at home, so we ask that you do not send your child into the school from Monday onwards.
We will update you on tomorrow’s arrangements as soon as confirmed and are working on operational matters currently please do not phone into the school office unless absolutely necessary.
Thank you for your support.
