Friday 27th September was an exciting and inspiring day for our sixth formers. Two coaches full of students attended a trip to the Emirates Stadium in London for the Higher Education and Careers Search Fair. The stadium was crammed full of universities and employers waiting to inspire students with their career opportunities and university options.
With over 120 exhibitors filling the four giant conference rooms as well as a rolling seminar programme on topics such as “Applying to top universities”, “Writing Personal Statements” and “Higher and Degree Apprenticeships”, the day was a really fruitful one for young people as they embark on their university, careers or job searches.
Mr. R Tamale, Director of Sixth Form, commented that it was a brilliant day. Students picked up lots of good advice and information that will prove invaluable to them in their apprenticeship and higher education applications, plus a few freebies. As well as representatives from nearly all of the UK universities and some oversees universities, national and international employers such as Capgemini, White Hat, the Army, Microsoft, BMW Group and Rolls Royce (amongst many others) were presenting on their apprenticeship opportunities. A brilliant and inspiring day for all students who attended.
